Welcome to Mara Intrepids – the most talked about destination in the world’s most talked about wilderness. Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Maasai Mara’s four game-viewing areas, the camp enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara ecosystem. Intrepids is a short drive from the Mara River, where up to one-and-a-half million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous migration crossing every July and August. The camp itself is divided into four distinct areas, with separate dining areas and ‘mess tents’ ensuring exclusivity for larger groups travelling together. An Intrepids safari offers a unique game-viewing adventure, including three daily game drives with our experienced guides, educational outings with our famous Adventurers’ Club, and trips to Maasai villages where we support several community development projects.

Heritage Hotels is pleased to announce the completion of impressive renovations at Mara Intrepids Camp in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, home of the Great Wildebeest Migration each summer. Heritage Hotel’s Mara Intrepids Camp was recently honored by readers of Conde Nast Traveler as the TOP Kenyan property to be featured on the publication’s esteemed “Top 100 Readers’ Choice Awards, Best in the World” directory, and these new amenities build on this Kenya luxury camp’s outstanding reputation.

Mara Intrepids, along with sister-property Samburu Intrepids, now offers safari-goers three Family Tents at each Kenya luxury camp. These new Family Tents are comprised of two traditional permanent safari tents joined by a common sitting area in between. The new tents are ideal for families traveling with children who can overnight in their own tent, affording the parents privacy while keeping the family close and together.

Additionally, both Mara Intrepids and Samburu Intrepids also now offer exclusively romantic Honeymoon Tents. These new Kenya luxury camp tents include all the lovely amenities of the traditional safari tents, but are secluded to ensure the utmost privacy and luxury for discerning honeymooners while on safari in Kenya. They also offer outstanding views of the surrounding African bush.
