Heritage Hotels Partners with Wildlife Conservation Society Kenyan Hotelier Dedicated to Helping Protect Africa’s Wildlife

DENVER, CO (April 11, 2007) – Heritage Management Ltd today is proud to announce a distinctive partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society and Wildlife Conservation magazine. The Wildlife Conservation Society is the world’s preeminent environmental organization devoted to saving the Earth’s wildlife heritage. This summer, Heritage Hotels will be bringing members of the Wildlife Conservation Society special opportunities to travel to Kenya and experience some of the world’s greatest wildlife first hand.

This partnership comes at the heels of the exciting announcement last November that Kenya’s Maasai Mara was selected by ABC’s Good Morning America and USA Today as one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World”. The selection committee agreed that of great importance on this list was a place that is relatively untouched by humans and that is in need of preservation. The annual Great Migration, taking place in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, made this list as an amazing “movable, natural wonder of the world.” Heritage Hotels’ Mara Intrepids luxury tented camp, with a unique “front row” seat to this annual migration of Africa’s wildlife, hosted the production team as they brought this spectacular natural event to over seven million viewers across the globe.

David Stogdale, managing director of Heritage Management Ltd said, “We understand that the East African wildlife safari experience is one of the most moving and amazing experiences travelers can experience today. We are committed to protecting these fragile ecosystems and continuing to educate travelers about how they can support such conservation programs as well. Heritage Hotels is thrilled to invite WCS members to join us on safari in Kenya!”

Wildlife Conservation Society members will have the opportunity to experience Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara ecosystem with special offers on safaris featuring Mara Intrepids luxury tented camp. This camp is situated on a thickly forested river in the middle of the Maasai Mara reserve, offering guests the ultimate wilderness retreat – including watching elephants or giraffes drinking from the privacy of the safari tents! Situated in the heart of the reserve, Mara Intrepids enjoys prime views of the spectacular wildebeest migration between June and September, and some of the world’s most rewarding Big Cat sightings during the remainder of the year. Wildlife Conservation Society members will also have the opportunity to enjoy Samburu Intrepids, located in northern Kenya, and Kipungani Explorer, a barefoot-luxury beach resort located near Lamu Island, a World Heritage site on the northern Indian Ocean coast of Kenya.

Heritage Management Ltd., operating eight of Kenya’s premier safari camps, resorts and lodges, strives to bring back to East Africa the top quality service for which the region is rightfully known. The Explorer Collection, including Lamu’s Kipungani Explorer and the Masai Mara’s Mara Explorer, offers travelers stunning five-star style and intimate and exclusive settings. The Intrepids Safari Camps and Lodge collection, including Mara Intrepids, Samburu Intrepids, Siana Springs and the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort, provide for a classic African safari experience. And the Voyager Resorts and Safari camps, including the Voyager Beach Resort and the Voyager Safari Camp, provide a “three-plus star” experience for families looking for an affordable African safari experience.
